42. When you go to buy bread in the grocery store, have you ever wondered which is the freshest, so you ’squeeze’ for freshness or softness? Did you know that bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color twist tie.
They are:
Monday = Blue
Tuesday = Green
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow.
So if today was Thursday, you would want a red twist tie; not white which is Fridays (almost a week old)! The colors go alphabetically by color Blue- Green – Red – White – Yellow, Monday through Saturday. Very easy to remember. I thought this was interesting. I looked in the grocery store and the bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the ones with the plastic clips have different colors. You learn something new ev eryday! Enjoy fresh bread when you buy bread with the right color on the day you are shopping.

Don’t forget Gatorade for Migraine Headaches. PowerAde won’t work. Pass this information on to friends so they can be informed.

Meeting with my relatives

It is my first day here in the USA. I went to Ate Bernadette house to meet my relatives. It’s a nice feeling to see my Auntie Tess and Auntie Auring. I have not seen Tita Tess for almost 5 years. I also meet Ate Bernadette family, Kuya Joe and her two kids AJ and Jasmine. AJ is 4 years old and he is smart kid while the beautiful jasmine is so sweet and cute like Chinese baby doll.

Hello USA! Here I come

usa

Weng and I woke up early to make sure not to miss our flight, NWA – 8AM. We arrived at the NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) around 5:30am. I am so happy because it is our first time to be together in the same flight. Our POE will be Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport. After that we waited almost an hour for our next flight to Chicago- Ohare. Finally, at the airport I was able to meet Mang Art and Mrs V, my future ninong and ninang =). The weather was a little bit cold so I have to wear my jacket. If you will ask me what my first impression is? Like what other people says; its beautiful, the weather is great and the environment is so cool. It is so clean and there are a lot of trees. It’s far different from Manila. Its very convenient, it’s like you have everything here. And the people are all very friendly, they will smile at you and i can always hear them saying “excuse me and sorry”. I think I will love this place. I just hope my stay here will be ok. Yeah I hope everything will be ok. We had our dinner at Mang Art place. From there I meet Weng’s daughter and son, Joanne and Jed. After dinner we went to Weng’s house and had some rest.
