Nickelodeon StoryTime Live in Illinois

If you’re mom and your kids like watching NickJr., bring your kids to four adventures in one amazing show. The Nickelodeon presents StoryTime Live, musical show featuring “Dora the Explorer,” “The Backyardigans,” “Ni Hao, Kai-lan,” and “Wonder Pets!”. Yes, the top-rated preschool show will be coming here in Illinois and it will be hosted by Moose adn Zee. I want to watch the show and bring my baby but I don’t think he will enjoy it since he still too young and doesn’t understand what’s going on around him. Maybe I could ask my cousin and will bring my nephew and niece. I know for sure that they will enjoy the show.

Ni Hao, Kai-lan
Kai-lan and her friends meet their favorite superhero, The Monkey King, and agree to help bring all the pandas to his Panda Party. Join the happy celebration at the Monkey King’s castle.

The Backyardigans
Mayor Stinkypants (Austin) has forced the dirty townspeople (Tasha, Tyrone and Uniqua) to take part in the annual Festival of Dirt. Journey through Purewood Forest, as Robin Hood the Clean (Pablo) helps clean up the village of Filthingham.

Wonder Pets
What’s gonna work? TEAMWORK! Hop into Wonderland with Wonder Pets, as they gather Ollie, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat and The Queen of Hearts for a special celebration.

Dora the Explorer
A witch has placed Boots under a sleeping spell that can only be broken by a true princess. Leap into Fairytale Land with Dora as she magically turns into a princess and saves Boots from the sleeping spell.

Pre-Thanksgiving

It is raining today. I went to Dupage County Health Department in Lombard to pick up Joshua’s WIC card. We did not wait that long. We stayed there for only 20 minutes and then were done. Finally, I got his WIC card after two times of trying picking up his card. First was when I forgot to bring his proof of birth like his foot prints, birth certificate or hospital discharge papers. I applied a copy of his birth certificate and I have not receive it yet. So, they made another appointment and they said I just have to bring proof of birth and then I can get the card. So I went again, I had his papers already but I was late for more than two hours. My appointment was 8:15 AM but I arrived at 10:30 AM. The receptionist said they cannot accommodate me anymore because they only have the two Dieticians so she had to reschedule me. I am glad it is over I had his WIC card and I can now buy his Enfamil Lipil formula.

At home, Vlad and Jed are cooking for our pre-Thanksgiving celebration tonight. I think they are cooking maple roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, spaghetti, brownies, rice krispies treats etc. This is would be baby Josh first Thanksgiving. The Fajardos and Centeno family are coming over to join us for dinner. Vlad will have work tomorrow that is why we are celebrating our Thanksgiving today.

More birthdays!

I feel exhausted for the past few days. Last week, I attended three birthday parties; Lito’s dinner party, Auntie Midjie surprise party and Logan first birthday. Lito celebrated his 51 birthday and we had dinner at their house. His beautiful and very generous wife prepared sumptuous food. She really cooks well. It was like were in a 5 star hotel with an elegant arrangement of food and tables. When we went home, she even gave us almond brownies and pecan cookies.

Auntie Midjie celebrated her 70th birthday at Mons house. It was a surprise party for her, prepared by her children but actually it was Jingle’s main idea. So we went to downtown Chicago and meet the Angara family. She was really surprise about the party. She was so happy throughout the day because a lot her of friends and relatives were there. Even her students and parents attended ( she teach piano lessons). We stayed there from 1 pm to 9 pm. After eating, we watched the video then opened the gifts. We also ordered Giordano’s pizza while waiting for Jingle because she went to Evan’s homecoming. After that, we went home with Oyet and kids.

The last party we attended was Logan’s birthday. It was held in Drury Lane Hotel in Oakbrook. We occupied the English room. We were late for almost an hour. Oyet was supposed to pick us up but we just woke up when she arrived in our house. Anyway, we were still able to catch up when we arrived at the hotel. It was a buffet, so there was so much food. There was also a magician who entertained the kids. We meet the Narcelles family and relatives.

On Tuesday, a friend of ours again invited us for dinner in her home. Tomorrow is the official date of end of summer. If winter comes you will expect less parties.
